Washing Day

20 Dec

This morning was cold and really windy again, and it also rained heavily for a while before the clouds disappeared and the sun came out. We didn’t do much today, just went to Jindabyne to do some washing (at the backpackers) and stock up on some fruit and veggies at the supermarket.

Toby was still sick today and very clingy. All he wanted to do today was lie in bed and snuggle with Mummy or Daddy, but mostly Mummy. So it was a very lazy afternoon, dozing with a hot Toby who only ate watermelon and unset jelly all afternoon. Nathan and i did go down to the river and we walked across and back twice which he enjoyed. Nathan is also very excited about Toby’s birthday tomorrow and has been drawing decorations and even made a sign to go on the tent. It says “this is Toby’s birthday, come in to celebrate”. The wording was Nathan’s, he just asked for help spelling the words. He also drew a lot of 3-year-old Tobys.

Nathan has also made a new friend at the campsite. As usual he has been visiting many of the other campers, but there is a boy who would be 1or 2 years older than Nathan who has been riding around on his bike. This afternoon the two of them spent ages riding up and down the road, having races.
