Nathan wouldn’t go to sleep last night at his normal bedtime, so he was awake when we turned on the TV to watch a documentary about space on SBS last night. He went to sleep on the couch while watching the program.

Today Nathan said two words, just out of the blue. Milky Way. I asked him if he knew what it was, and he said he didn’t. The next thing I know he has taken his space book out of the bookcase and he is demanding that I read the bit about the Milky Way. I don’t think that either Andrew or I have read the book to him very much, so I asked him how he knew that it was about the Milky Way and he said it was because of the photo.

I guess it was just that he remembered it being read to him, but sometimes he just amazes me with what he remembers. And at other times I’m amazed by what he has forgotten.
