Toby is a smiling, interactive boy who tries to talk.  Last night he spent ages smiling at Nathan, it was very cute.  He responds to us by smiling or ‘talking’.

He doesn’t seem to be quite so noisy  at night now, probably because he seems to be sleeping better after that first wake-up of the night.  Consequently, I have had a couple of nights where I spent the entire night in bed!  I won’t be sad to say good-bye to sleeping on the couch in the sitting position with baby beside me andsupported by a tri-pillow (that’s my breastfeeding position using football hold that I often use on the couch).

While he is sleeping better at night, Toby isn’t sleeping as much during the day.  He spends a small amont of time happily playing on the floor or watching the goings on from the bouncer, so I do get a break from carrying him around now.  I still love the Mai Tai and use it in preference to the other carriers when out, but I use my pouch to quickly comfort Toby when we’re at home.  I do also wrap him on my back for short periods most afternoons, and even had him wrapped on my back in the pool last week so that I could easily play with Nathan in a pool that was waist deep.
